Although it was only snare drumming. But since it was for the BBs, and taking a military style look to drumming, it's not surprising that's what was taught. I was taught how to do it [in trad grip, no less...] via the "mummy daddy" method. But you already know this, since I'm sure I bored you wit the full details during one of my lessons :) The press roll is pretty much all I every played when I first tried to play drums.
